Ksusha Lastochka and Maxim Trulov

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ksusha Lastochka (1991) and Maxim Trulov (1991) are a duo of artists who work inseparably. Prior to their collaboration, Ksusha studied animation in St. Petersburg, while Maxim was busy with public art on the streets of Nizhny Novgorod.
Ksusha and Maxim’s style bases on two principles a black-and-white color scheme and detailed graphics. The combination of Ksusha’s background in animation and Maxim’s large-scale vision helps them creating their own universe. The universe features over 100 characters that are a part of different narratives. From the first look their style may seem playful but the story unveils the deeper issues about mental health and traumatic experiences.
